We have a very exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Nursery Manager to work in our beautiful surroundings while taking charge of a new Nursery in The Old School. The building itself is being completely renovated and will provide an ideal setting to provide the highest standards of care and play opportunities for babies and children up to pre-school age.

Nursery Manager - The Role:

With this in mind, we are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who would like to capitalise on this unique opportunity to work in partnership with the Custodian of the Estate and the rest of the South Ormsby team, developing a sustainable business over the coming years.

Do you have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage? Have you managed a childcare facility at GOOD or OUTSTANDING OFSTED Level? Do you have an excellent understanding of Local Authority requirements? Are you NVQ Level 4 (or above) qualified in Childcare?

As the Nursery Manager you will be responsible for the day today running of the business, ensuring the highest level of care for children and creating a cohesive team of valued staff and maintaining the highest possible standards of parent satisfaction.

You will ensure that all quality, safety, budgetary and performance standards are met and sustained. This includes contributing effectively to planning, deployment and resources, driving and growing sustainable revenues, managing costs and deliver consistent high quality standards and a customer focused culture for the nursery.

Nursery Manager - Responsibilities:

- To manage all aspects of the nursery provision.

- To manage the day to day financial operations within the Nursery, by meeting financial targets and managing the occupancy ensuring maximum capacity.

- To manage all staff effectively.

- To agree and set EYFS goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets

- To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.

Nursery Manager - Skills and Experiences Required:

-Recognised qualification in management of Early Years Childcare.

- Be familiar with Safeguarding, Health and Safety, OFSTED and completing OFSTED evaluation documents as well as experience liaising with other agencies and governing bodies.

- Evidence of continuous professional development.

- Be aware of budgeting and basic accounting to ensure the smooth running of the business.

- Ability to lead, inspire and give support to the team.

- Must be approachable, friendly and able to communicate effectively at all times.
