£40,000-£50,000 DOE + Group Performance Bonus & Benefits

Are you a qualified accountant looking to use your experience in a growing organisation, operating in an ever-changing industry?

Are you looking for a role that provides you with the autonomy to drive your own workload to ensure deliverables are met?

If so, we're now recruiting for Management Accountants to join our Finance function that sits across Drax Customer (Opus Energy & Haven Power) as we grow our team!

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for the financial and management accounting of all aspects of revenue and gross margin for either our electricity or gas and renewables arms of the Drax customers division.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to own the production of monthly management accounts for your given business area, reporting on all aspects that relate to revenue and gross margin. You'll also be hands on in preparing and posting the required monthly financial journals.

You'll have the opportunity to link in with our wider Finance team and the work you produce will feed vital information into our FP&A team, supporting the work they complete on annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles. You'll also closely support the audit cycle for the finance team covering interim financial reviews, internal audits and year end external audits.

You'll play a key part in ensuring that regular communications flow to non-finance stakeholders, ensuring that reporting is delivered with clarity and on a timely basis to inform key decision making.

A qualified accountant, you'll have developed your skillset in a management accounting role, ideally within a PLC environment. Your experience to date will have given you exposure to various systems and knowledge of Oracle would be advantageous.

Possessing a high level of self-motivation, you'll be comfortable driving and managing your own workload to ensure that required deadlines are completed. As a company we will provide you with the opportunity to grow professionally and support your career development therefore the enthusiasm and career commitment to run alongside this is key.

The role will provide you with exposure to stakeholders of both a finance and non-finance background therefore you'll be confident in communicating with varying audiences and conveying complex financial results in the simplest form.
