Job Title: Roadside Patrol / Technician

Location: Richmond

Salary: £27,129 with Guaranteed Overtime £32,000 plus Pension, Uniform, Van & Equipment

OTE £35,000 - £48,000 inclusive of additional Voluntary Overtime and Bonuses

Job-Type: Full-Time

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Roadside Patrol / Technician to join a leading, national Rescue & Recovery organisation. Based from home in Richmond or the surrounding areas, the successful Roadside Patrol / Technician will earn a basic salary + OT salary of £32,000 per annum with OTE of £35,000 - £48,000 and full remuneration and benefits package.

When it comes to rescue and recovery this organisation is a market leader. They are known for providing an excellent service and developing their employees to the same high standard. The successful Roadside Patrol / Technician will join this hardworking and welcoming team. As a Roadside Patrol / Technician your main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

> Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults

> Diagnosing and repairing Electrical faults

> Towing broken down vehicles from the roadside to a designated drop off point using the onboard towing equipment (if required)

To be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The company are especially interested speaking to candidates with at least 1 year's driving experience. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential:

> Full category B (or BE) driving licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor endorsements and no outstanding DD, DR or CD penalties.

> NVQ2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent

> 2-3 years proven experience within a professional mechanic environment (including within a military setting)

> Familiar with electrical, fuel and ignition systems of vehicles as well as multi-meters and other diagnostic equipment

> Confident and personable when talking to customers

> Willing to work by the roadside in all weather conditions

> Empathetic and appreciative of the stressful situation that customers can find themselves in

> Full, paid for, induction training and continued training throughout employment (This does not include technical training). Induction training will be conducted at a central location and will involve staying over in a hotel for up to 5 nights at a time.

> OTE £35,000 - £48,000 plus other benefits (earnings can be higher)

Additional Information:

Roster Pattern: Core

Note: The Core pattern is an annualised 'Demand Led Roster' so shifts can vary and there is no set 'pattern'. Shifts are roster approximately 6-months in advance so Patrols know when they are due to work.

Hours: Average 45 hours per week (inclusive of Guaranteed Overtime); 7-10 hours rostered per day working between 06:00 - 00:00. Additional voluntary overtime is available if required.

Shifts: As above shifts will work on a demand-led roster and will include a combination of days, nights and weekends as part of this flexible roster.

Other Info: Patrols may be able to sign on from their home address or be required to travel to a sign-on point up to 40 minutes from their home.

Vetting: All candidates will be fully vetted once a conditional offer of employment has been signed. Vetting includes employment and character references, criminal records check, proof of right to work and credit & sanctions checks.
