Bright Horizons Nurseries, awarded "Great Place to Work" for 14 years are currently recruiting for a Room Leader with a full and relevant level 3 or above childcare qualification to join our Bright Horizons Woking Nursery on Guildford Road.

The role is working full time Monday to Friday between 7.30am - 6.30pm. We are offering an industry leading salary of between £19,000 - £27,000 per annum.

About the Nursery:

Bright Horizons Woking is located on Guildford Road within walking distance of Woking Station and well served by bus routes: 33, 73, 81, 134, 446, 462, 463, 520 & 856. The setting offers childcare to 80 children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years, set out over five different rooms, each tailored to a different age group.

Your role as Room Leader will include;

- Overseeing the smooth running and high quality early years practice within the room

- Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS

- Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues

- Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times

A little about Rachel Winters - Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Working:

Rachel has a wealth of experience within childcare having started as a Nursery Apprentice in 2004 at our Bright Horizons Starfish Nursery in Guildford.

Rachel proceeded to gain her level 2 and 3 qualifications in Childcare and Development and was later promoted to Room Manager within the toddler room. In 2009, Rachel transferred to our Richmond Day Nursery and was made Deputy Manager covering maternity leave for 9 months. Since then, Rachel has supported four of our nurseries in Surrey and has a great understanding in the day to day running and management of a nursery.

You may have experience of the following: Senior Nursery Nurse, Head of Unit, Senior Nursery Practitioner, Room Supervisor, Room Manager.

Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs.Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the child by effective delivery of the key person approach.Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision.Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education and provide feedback to create a consistent approach of early years practice to include but not limited to regular 1:1's, Supervisions and appraisals.Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play.Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures. Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies.Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.Continually work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach is maintained at all times.Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers to support the retention and ongoing occupancy growth.Experience Essential:Post qualified experience of working within the Early Years sector.Previous experience of working as a key person.Qualifications Essential:Full and relevant Level 3 and or above (equivalent) Childcare qualification.Current Paediatric First Aid Current Paediatric First Aid if qualified after 30/06/2016.
