Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a well-known retail business in Southampton who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 3-6-month contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Management and maintenance of an organised ledger, as well as purchase order systems and reconciling banks.
  • Coding and sorting purchase invoices, posting bank payments and liaising with clients regarding payment dates.
  • Distributing purchase order numbers, ensuring correct authorisation and maintenance of the purchase order schedule.
  • Overseeing the budget.
  • Inputting sales invoices and allocating received payments.

The company deals with high volumes of transactional work; therefore, you must be able to process large volumes accurately and efficiently. You will be inquisitive and analytically minded with communication skills being key.
