A school for boys aged 5-19 who have social, emotional, mental difficulties and general learning disabilities are looking for an empathetic and positive Learning Support Assistant. You will be supporting them in learning life and social skills necessary for them to become as independent as possible before they leave education. You will be flexible and able to adapt to specific needs and willing to get stuck into a range of activities!

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-The ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-An understanding of health and safety implications
-Self-motivation and have the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-An ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
