Nursing Home Manager- Registered Nurse
Derby
Salary: £47,000 - 52,000 dependent on experience

Our client is a mid-sized healthcare group with around 40 services across the UK. They are committed to delivering high quality care and unique packages to people with dementia and various other conditions.The company have a few homes in the area so support from Senior managers is always available, as well as opportunities to progress within the group because of the locality of some of their care homes.

They are currently looking for a Home Manager for a Nursing and Dementia home in Derby. The home currently has a Good CQC report and is in good shape. The position has become vacant because the long term registered manager is relocating out of the area. The home manager will hold registered manager responsibilities with CQC and should have had a similar post previously, or been a deputy manager for a large service.

The care home has been purpose built to provide specialist Nursing and Dementia care to around 50+ elderly residents.

The role

The role holds responsibility for the effective management and administration of the Home, in line with the Group's Policies and Legal Requirements to agreed budgets and to provide a caring environment that meets the individual needs of the Residents. The Home Manager is responsible for every member of staff and for the wellbeing of all residents in the Home and is professionally accountable and responsible for the quality of the service and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

*To run a high quality registered home, providing an innovative, active, and progressive care service, utilising best practice guidelines , while ensuring Residents safety and welfare is of paramount importance at all times.
*Maintain the 'Good' CQC rating.
*Ensure all safeguarding and compliance procedures are acted upon in a timely manner.
*Ensure that appropriate staff are recruited, retained, motivated and deploy the staff resource to provide an appropriate service to residents within the budget for staffing.
*Ensure proper management of all finances available to the home, within EBITDAR budget.
*To effectively manage the home so the finance viability is maintained, retaining all cost in line with the budget.
*Achieve budgeted occupancy and weekly fee levels.
*Develop the reputation of the home through active community involvement.

Key Requirements

Prior Management experience within the provision of elderly care, with experience in dementia care being important.
Managed a home of at least 30beds.
RGN or RMN qualified.

Candidates must have a valid NMC Pin Number.
