Vehicle Electronics: The nerve centre of the modern-day supercar.

As we innovate in the fields of augmented and autonomous driving, better connectivity and hybridisation your work in Vehicle Electronics will become ever more important, and as such you can expect your career to grow as this team will. You'll be designing the low voltage electrical distribution which feeds into everything from switchgear to infotainment to connectivity systems.

Using your knowledge of CATIA v5 and you'll be responsible for the electrical system design, including wiring/ fusing, electrical packaging, 2D harness drawings and schematics, as well as defining components and systems specifications. You'll also be managing suppliers both on site and off site, making sure they're delivering on your designs.

You'll be working hands on to analyse vehicle faults and carrying out electrical harness re-works during the concept development phases and using these skills to support programme launches and manufacturing teams, guiding them on installation and re-works.

This is a really busy time for McLaren Automotive so you're going to have your work cut out! In our Track 25 business plan we committed to releasing 18 new models or derivatives by 2025, increased use of hybrid powertrains, and new innovation in mobile connectivity and augmented driving. None of this is possible without the Vehicle Electronics team almost tripling in size and taking on skilled Design Engineers to deliver these ambitious plans.Join us on this journey and have a hand in developing some of the most exciting and engaging supercars in the world.
