A fantastic opportunity has become available to join a market leading fast growing international business based in Warrington.

As a Senior Credit Controller, reporting directly to the Head of Shared Services and Group Reporting you will be joining their Finance team at an exciting time of rapid expansion.

The ideal candidate should have the following:-
  • Be a highly experienced Credit Controller with international experience
  • Understands the different procurement processes of larger companies to ensure all invoices are tax compliant and have the required documentation with them to flow through and be paid
  • Proactively chases debt and picks up any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Is confident of the appropriate time to escalate internally and externally
  • Works to KPI's which should be mainly cash collection targets
  • Adaptable and able to use own initiative both in terms of hours and working in a fast paced environment in a tech company
Your responsibilities will include:-
  • Taking ownership of online payment portals and reconciliations and ensuring all invoices are uploaded in a timely manner
  • Managing the ongoing workflow of invoices through customer procurement systems or processes
  • Ensuring customers have all the required documentation in advance of an invoice becoming due e.g. sales invoice, matching purchase order, VAT certificate, Certificate of residence
  • Liaising with customers and resolving queries
  • Liaising with the sales team to assist with overdue accounts
  • Allocating receipts including cheques and electronic payments
  • Ensuring customers pay with agreed terms
  • Liaising with the sales operations regarding overdue accounts and credit notes
  • Requesting certificates of residence from relevant authorities
  • Ensuring the correct withholding tax has been deducted from customer receipts
  • Other ad hoc reporting as required

This is a sole credit opportunity where you will have the autonomy to make the job your own and influence change. With agile working, you will be expected to have a flexible attitude towards working hours as you will be managing the international ledger. In return an excellent salary will be offered of between £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, 25 days holidays plus the option of a shares option scheme.
