Outstanding and unique M&A opportunity with a fast-growing, International PE backed business based in Chester. The M&A Team are now looking to add an M&A Analyst to their dedicated team to support the M&A Manager in analysing new and potential acquisitions.

Reporting to the M&A Manager, the role of M&A Analyst will be involved in the analysis of acquisitions from origination through to completion giving support in converting the synergy model into a financial forecast and other commercial finance projects as required.

Your role will cover the following;

• Identification and refreshing of the M&A origination database

• Initial analysis of potential new acquisitions

• Responsible for building and maintaining the synergy model for all acquisitions

• Coordination of the commercial due diligence team as part of acquisition

• Responsible for modelling and converting the synergy models into robust financial forecasts

• Ad hoc analysis and presentation on acquisitions and other areas as required

To be considered, you should have the following skills and experience;

• Degree with a numerical background (e.g. Maths, Science, Engineering, etc)

• Experience in a previous financial or analytical role

• Excellent Excel skills

• Excellent logical thinking and problem solving skills

• Strong PowerPoint / Presentation skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong commercial awareness

• A hands-on and pro-active approach with the ability to work well under pressure and to work flexibly in order to meet the varying needs of the role.

• Good time management and prioritisation skills

Nice to have:

• Part-qualified accountant (or a desire to undertake qualification)

• Previous experience in an M&A environment (either acquisition or integration)

• Experience using SQL (or desire to learn)
