Russam is working with an NHS Outsourced Contract Service provider.

Our client is enjoying significant success with numerous high-profile contract wins and is laying the plans for further major growth. As such, they require an experienced Procurement Manager to lead, develop and deliver a procurement service that will achieve best value in all procurement activity

Role and Responsibilities

As Procurement Manager you will:

·Focus on materials management (inventories), and put in place a strategy and action plan to reduce in line with company targets

·Provide a procurement service using a business partnering approach that champions and supports the achievement of best value

·Support, encourage and nurture good procurement and contract management practice

·Supporting and deliver effective procurement and contract administration processes, applying your procurement knowledge combined with an understanding of business needs and priorities

·Keep up to date and provide advice on statutory and regulatory procurement requirements

·Ensure the organisation is compliant with relevant governance and regulatory requirements.

·Create tendering portals that adhere to strict organisational guidelines and report on the tendering process to the purchasing manager to provide best value for money options

This is a permanent role based in Buckinghamshire

The Desired Candidate

The Procurement Manager will be CIPS qualified, and will have the following:
  • Extensive procurement experience within an SME, where you have been responsible for all procurement, and reported into the Leadership Team
  • Excellent analysis, integrated thinking, impact & influencing skills and the ability to negotiate effectively in all dealings is essential
  • In depth knowledge of supply chain networks and up to date industry knowledge on procurement
  • Cost analysis and attention to detail skills
  • Have a proven and successful track record of materials management and inventory reduction
