THE ROLE: In the role of Marketing Strategist you will be responsible for developing creative marketing strategies for new and existing clients as well as internally for Buzzbar. You will be the strategic lead on projects, planning proposals, identifying objectives and deliverables and working with our creatives from conception to completion to realise clients brand goals. This role is for a mid-level all-round with a specific background in digital marketing, PR or brand development, looking for an opportunity to become strategic lead for an eclectic roster of clients. It also requires networking and drive - a start-up working with start-ups in marketing. Ego is left at the door and hands-on passion for communication and growing a company/ies is a must. Key responsibilities will be * Designing and implementing marketing strategies and ideas * Developing digital/social campaigns * Ensuring brand consistency and development (both internally and for external clients) * Generate interesting ideas to promote both Buzzbar and our clients brand * Creative copy for social and ad campaigns (we have a copywriting team for the rest) * Account management * Networking and client entertainment Requirements We are a start up and the ideal candidate would be someone keen to build with us and commit to making an active and positive contribution to the development of the company. Essential: * 3 years digital marketing, brand development or PR experience * Demonstrable experience creating and developing a cohesive and profitable tactical marketing strategy * Demonstrable experience and interest with marketing web technologies (including social media) * Experience with pitch presentations and budget management * Excellent written (digital & print) and verbal communication abilities * A good general understanding of the cultural landscape within a variety of industries * Team management and client relationship skills * Good analytical skills This job description is intended as a general guide to the scope of the post and is not an exhaustive list.
