KS3 Teaching Assistant Required at Warrington secondary school - Sept 2019

Your new School

This popular school based within the Warrington area are looking to recruit a determined Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming and focused team, starting in mid September 2019 on a temp basis. This school is looking to expand their support network for KS3 classes, and have a Teaching assistant opportunity opening up early September, with this contract running up until Christmas with the possibility of an extended contract.

Your new role

As a KS3 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for helping the class teacher to carry out day-to-day lessons, occasionally supervising the class whilst the teacher is occupied. You will help lead class-based activities and support students on a 1:1 and group basis, helping students with any difficulties they may have. Your principle role will be helping to maintain a productive work environment, further helping to manage any difficult students during class time.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful as a teaching assistant, you will need demonstrated experience dealing with students on a 1:1 or group basis within he class environment, further having some experience leading class-based activities. You will ideally hold a Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant Qualification however this is not a necessity. You will be ambitious and driven to help KS3 students develop both socially and academically, and will be friendly and approachable. You should also have strong communication and inter-personal skills, being able to relate well with students.
