Salary Banding: £53,000-£55,000 plus £5,000 Car allowance dependent on experience

37.5 hours per week 52 weeks a year

Role Profile:

Vertas Group Limited is a multi-services facilities management company with circa 3,000 employees across 500+ work locations across the UK. Reportable annual turnover of circa £75million. Average procurement spends of £35m. This role will sit on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Autonomously develop and implement a Procurement strategy for the Group which delivers on budgetary and operational requirements across all service areas.

Responsible for coaching the team in developing robust processes and procedures to maintain consistency with procurement or new suppliers, renewal of suppliers, and spend with agreed suppliers across the Group.

Manage and develop the Procurement team to deliver an efficient procurement service to the Group.

Main Purpose of the Job:

* Implement a Procurement strategy that fits the organisations procurement requirements across all services.

* Accountable for the large supplier's contracts, renewals and tendering process across the Group.

* Develop robust procurement policies and procedures that support the operations of the services with the Group.

* Responsible for proactively managing the procurement risk, such as supplier audits and modern slavery act, and accountable for the organisation remaining compliant with current and changing legislation and procurement practices.

* Accountable for procurement of resources across the Group in accordance with budgets and realising both best value and cost savings in accordance with the set targets.

* Building and maintaining effective working partnerships with our suppliers.

* Working with all departments within the organisation to ensure that feedback on suppliers is gathered and voiced appropriately so that supply of services from suppliers is as efficient as it can be.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

* CIPS qualified, or equivalent.

* Procurement experience within the FM sector.

* Demonstrable evidence of cost saving benefits within procurement.

* Senior Manager with strategic thinking ability.

* Strong Negotiation skills.

* Ability to coach and lead others.

* Can be strategic and operational supporting the team/ organisation with lower level tasks.

* Ability to work and building effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other third parties.

* Analytical with great attention to detail.

* Highly organised with excellent time management skills.

* Has initiative and is a completer finisher.

* Experience in SAP Business 1
