Falmouth Exeter Plus (FXP) is the service delivery partner of Falmouth University (Falmouth) and the University of Exeter (UoE). We deliver shared services and facilities for UoE and Falmouth in Cornwall underpinned by close collaboration with FXU, the combined students' union for Falmouth and UoE, ensuring that the interests of students and staff are at the heart of everything we deliver. Both Falmouth and UoE are expanding their teaching and research operations in Cornwall at a pace. Because of this expansion we are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer/Developer to work across all areas of the IT and Digital Directorate in support of the directorate improvement plan. Ensuring that integrations between systems are created and maintained to the highest standards and that code is optimised, reliable and secured effectively.
You will work with the Business Applications and Integration Manager to establish and ensure adherence to architectural principles of software development. In addition, you will develop software integrations between core business applications and provide guidance on system integration, software driven testing and data transfer processes to the IT and Digital Directorate and the wider organisation. A key part of the role is to build and maintain strong customer relationships with application owners and technology leads to provide specialist advice on the use of database technologies.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
*Experience of C# development, MVC, unit testing, integration testing & T-SQL *Specialist knowledge of software development, design and design principles *Knowledge of the ITIL V3 Framework *Technical acumen alongside strong written, verbal and listening skills *Ability to plan and prioritise workload *Able to design and implement secure and reliable system integrations *Meticulous attention to detail
