We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging person to join out small team as Regional Support Office to help deliver the work we do across Greater London. The Regional Support Officer is the first point of contact to the London Region for those living with diabetes, their families and carers, health care professionals, external organisations and the general public.

Main Responsibilities

This role is key in ensuring the smooth running of the London region. A small part of the role is around administrative systems including GDPR. The main part of the role is supporting the rest of the London region team to deliver events, training sessions and following up on information needed by external organisations. To support this work a small number of office volunteers are managed by the post holder. The Regional Support Officer will work with external organisations to organise the delivery of awareness events and talks. Whilst the majority of the role is within the London region team the Regional Support Officer also works with the wider organisation representing the team and on occasions externally to represent the organisation.

Ideal Candidate

Will be highly organised with great written and oral communication skills. They will be used to working in a small team but self-motivated and used to juggling priorities. They will be experienced in planning events from venue finding to delegate management to delivery. Having excellent customer service skills they will be experienced in working with a range of people from different backgrounds and ethnicities. They will be able to work occasional weekends and evenings to support the events they have organised.
