IT Support Officer

We are delighted to be collaborating with this organisation and supporting them with finding their next team member.

Working under the supervision of the Head of Information Management you will provide key IT support within the Information Management Department and to all end users across the business. In this role, you will provide remote support to overseas programmes, with the possibility of international travel where required. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who would like to accelerate their IT career in a sector-leading organisation. This position is located at the office in Salisbury but will require frequent travel to another office.


· Assist the Head of Information Management in implementing the information security strategy and associated IT projects
· Review and develop information security policies, procedures and guidelines
· Implement information security technical controls and ensure that information security policies and copyright and data protection laws are upheld
· Assist end users in all aspects of IT support
· Set up, or assist with, maintaining and administering desktops, servers, computer networks, printers, fixed and mobile telephones, software and other IT peripherals
· Manage the backup of data and systems and assist in disaster recovery
· Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security
· Investigate security alerts and incidents and provide incident response

Essential skills and experience

· Existing experience of working in a similar position, and a relevant IT qualification
· Experience developing, implementing / knowledge of information security policies
· Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, 8, 10)
· Microsoft Office 2013/2016
· Computer networking
· Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 (DHCP, WSUS, Active Directory)
· PC hardware
· Highly focused with a passion for Information Technology

· Office 365/SharePoint Online
· Mac Operating systems
· Linux Operating Systems
· Windows Server 2019
· Microsoft Office 2019


Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
