Senior Electrical Engineer - Tonbridge - to £45k - £50K plus benefits

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a leading M&E Commissioning Management consultancy who are urgently seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their thriving Tonbridge studio.

Reporting to the Associate in charge of the department the successful candidate will be working closely with other technical disciplines to deliver fully coordinated submissions that are technically accurate and reduce the client's risk.

Responsible for delivering all allocated design projects, acting as the project leader as well as liaising with the other members of the design and construction teams and helping to deliver projects on time and on budget.

You should possess strong interpersonal, communication (Written and spoken) and leadership skills, be suitably qualified and competent in Electrical Engineering and the ability to work independently.

You must have knowledge of the following:

·Site safety

·Electrical power and distribution

·Artificial Lighting

·Fire alarms

·Lightning protection

·CCTV/security/intruder detection

·UPS and Stand-by generation

·Low carbon technologies

·Vertical transportation

·Mechanical ventilation

·Heating and cooling services

·Hot and cold, water services


·Air Conditioning systems

·Control Systems

·The influence of building envelope design on energy consumption

·Sustainable design solutions

Qualifications required for this role are;

·Degree in Building Services related subject

·Working towards membership of a Professional Institution

·Detailed knowledge of discipline relevant design software such as Amtech, Dialux etc.

·Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

·Good understanding of CAD and BIM conventions and procedures

·Working knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD and Revit

·Preparation of NBS specifications

·Understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations, CDM regulations etc.

·Good understanding of sustainable and low-energy design solutions
