About the Role
As Care Assistant within Gracewell you will be working as part of a focused, and skilled team of fully supported staff who have our residents wellbeing at the core of all they do. The Care Assistant is responsible for providing the highest standards of person centred care to our resident's whilst maintaining dignity, respect and wellbeing. You will contribute to reviewing the Individual Service Plan for each Resident and assist with daily activities providing residents with both physical and emotional support and personal care as required. Gracewell is committed to supporting and developing all Care Assistants with ongoing training & leadership across all areas.

Previous experience within the Care sector is not essential as we provide full comprehensive training. As an organisation we are extremely proud of the training and career development that we offer to all our team members. It's really important for us and our residents to ensure that you to feel fully confident and comfortable in your role.

All our new care team members undergo a 2 week induction programme including eLearning, commencement of your care certificate underpinning knowledge of 15 standards and practical sessions which include Memory Care Pathway, Falls documentation training, Dining experience and Allergen, Basic Care and Customer Service skills. We also arrange competency and shadow shifts as part of your training. Our Management team and Senior Care Assistants will be there every step of your career to guide and support you.

Effective written and verbal communication skills
A willingness to undertake NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care and Medication Administration training
