We are working with a fantastic company that creates gift products for retailers both in the UK and around the world, including high street favourites John Lewis, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencer's and Amazon.

Due to company growth they are looking for an Account Manager to join their team. You will be working with small multiples, plus online and independent retailers, and will be responsible for building great relationships and maximising sales revenues.

The ideal candidate will have solid wholesale sales experience within consumer products, will be a natural relationship builder, and real people person. A love of retail, a passion for product and a commercial eye are key here - Are you the person this great brand is looking for?

Your role as Account Manager will include:
  • Directly managing existing wholesale accounts, increasing revenue by identifying opportunities to upsell, and increasing both the frequency and range of orders
  • Identifying new sales opportunities, bringing on board new accounts, making outbound new business calls as needed
  • Attend customer meetings to present product ranges and ideas
  • Being commercial aware - contributing with new product ideas, and providing feedback on sell-through and missed opportunities in order to improve the customer journey
  • Delivering outstanding customer service at all times, including responding to B2B enquiries and emails, stock availability, etc
  • Liaising with the warehouse to ensure timely delivery of stock to your customers
  • Maintain and accurately update all customer sales-related information on the database
  • Inputting orders onto CRM, completing New Line forms, and processing returns/credits
  • Reviewing credit limits for both new and existing customers
  • Deal with sample requests, marketing samples, and other ad-hoc tasks as needed
  • Attend tradeshows as required

The successful Account Manager will have the following experience/skills:
  • 2+ years' experience working in a similar role within a wholesale environment
  • Must have the drive and confidence to build and maintain new customer relationships
  • A natural relationship builder, with an excellent telephone manner, and good vocabulary & literacy skills
  • A commercial eye and a real love of retail products
  • Must have a full, clean UK driving licence
  • A self-starter with a proactive, can-do attitude and a flexible approach
  • Impeccable organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to act on initiative & solve problems quickly and calmly
  • A positive and upbeat personality, and a team player who puts the good of the company first!
