ENGIE are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to be based at Dungeness B Power Station, Dungeness, Romney Marsh TN29 9PX. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

Workplace Solutions are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician with strong knowledge to carry out electrical and maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults on electrical building services. You will be an integral part of the Workplace Solutions Mechanical and Electrical team based at Dungeness B Power Station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with other engineers and supervisors - providing cover and support as required
  • Developing effective working relationships with appropriate parties
  • Ability to analyse data and drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and Company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations
  • Repair systems, plant or equipment to the required standard
  • Work schedules and projects are prioritised appropriately and delivered on time
  • Participating in out of hours cover rota when required

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
  • Level 3 City & Guilds or an ONC is a minimum requirement
  • 18th Edition Qualified
  • Technical EC&I knowledge and experience
  • IT literate
  • CompEx01 to Ex04
  • Be willing to provide out of hours cover when required
  • Be willing to complete role specific training on and off site
  • Customer focused, confident in their skills and a confident communicator
  • Experience of working and engaging with the Defence Nuclear Safety Regulator (DNSR) or equivalent industry regulator
  • Knowledge of Civil nuclear plant systems, structures and component and associated design and assessment guidelines a distinct advantage
  • Experience of 11kV generation and distribution systems is an advantage
  • Experience of developing Safety Critical Systems and associated Safety Case
  • Experience of requirements management and a systems engineering approach
  • Maintains a developing knowledge of products and services available in the marketplace to support design concepts
  • Experience of working with the ONR and DNSR guidelines / principle's
  • Maintains and develops knowledge, capability and competence in latest engineering standards and techniques
