Overview -

This newly created position will see you responsible for the reporting outputs of the business, covering the operational reporting requirements both internally and externally. As part of the Management team within an award winning industry leader you will lead, manage and develop the data team to provide an efficient and accurate service to customers ensuring that reporting is delivered in line with agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will create and maintain a truly service-oriented culture within the department backed by a strong control environment to reduce and eliminate the risk of error. The role will see you work with the CTO to define and implement the reporting environment to best support the aims and objectives of the department.

Data Reporting Manager - key skills & experience

You will possess a strong Customer Service ethos, be commercially minded, results driven and used to meeting deadlines.
  • Proven project management skills
  • Knowledge and or awareness of PCI DSS, GDPR and ISO 27001c
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & reporting tools to prepare and analyse large datasets
  • Knowledge and experience of quantitative analysis and methodologies
  • Accounting principles and working knowledge of taxation (ideally employee benefits)
  • Experience of the management and data analysis of large datasets and of presenting the results of data analysis
  • An ability to write/script SQL would be an advantage
  • An accountancy qualification is highly desirable - part / fully qualified
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required when working with a range of stakeholders across the organisation

Data Reporting Manager - key responsibilities

Oversight and accountability of a comprehensive suite of management reports, providing the business with robust, accurate reports both ad-hoc and to an agreed cycle, and change management of such reports to ensure focussed business analytics
  • Responsible for the management of 5 heads within the team
  • Reduce the time taken to produce reports and maximise the accuracy of data within reports
  • Create a control environment and culture within the Data Team to maximise the accuracy of all reporting
  • Develop solutions for effective data analysis and reporting including ensuring accuracy of information, developing metrics and presenting findings to non-technical audiences
  • Ensure efficiency of data outputs - ensure automation of reports wherever possible; identify reporting and/or system development requirements where necessary to support this
  • Support the development of presentations and reports on performance
