The IT system manager is responsible for effective support and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related peripherals are maintained to provide optimum availability and performance for users.The individual provides the first point of call for all system issues relating to the operating system or hardware related issues.

This position needs someone who has a valid DV level clearance. If you have the clearance but not the full skillset please still apply as we will provide full training.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Operation Manager, you will receive all service calls from the SPOC and creates new Incidents in the project's Service Management Toolset.
  • You will be responsible for technical investigations and other engineering activities undertaken by the support team. This includes the use of best practice, adherence to project instructions, and compliance with system security requirements.
  • Working closely with the SPOC and Envitia, you will either accept or advise other disposal routes for support calls received by the SPOC and Envitia.
  • You will be responsibile that only incidents adhering to the acceptance criteria and incident logging criteria are passed into Vantage ownership.Incidents failing these criteria are to be passed back to the SPOC until these criteria are met.
  • You will be responsible for incident management on logged incidents.You will perform incident management as per service stability, functional stability, priority incident resolution times, and service availability.
  • Responsible for ensuring the required Incident escalations and Incident timing status' are instigated.
  • You will be the single point of contact for the SPOC and utilising project services accepted within support.
  • Daily contact with the customer is needed to ensure SCSM Incidents are up to date with the latest information populated within the respective Incidents and to ensure any telephone/email communication made is actioned and managed.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • DV Security Clearance
    Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Peer management skills
  • Previous onsite engineer / Working in a customer facing environment

  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
  • System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH)
  • IMC
  • HP Protect Tools
  • EPO
  • Data Protection Manager (DPM)
  • F5 Networks (GTM, LTM, APM)
  • HP Switches (Aruba, 5900, 5130)
  • Firewalls (Fortigate, Juniper)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • UNIX Fundamentals (Red Hat Linux)
  • MS W2k12R2 Administration
  • Other MS Operating System i.e. MS Windows 7 Client
