Our client is looking for an Assistant Accounts Manager to support on a maternity leave contract to join their well-established & friendly Accounts team. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounts Manager to manage a portfolio of accounts across multiple currencies. Typical duties will include:
  • Managing month end close
  • Preparing monthly reporting pack with analysis and commentary for management
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Managing the preparation of the statutory accounts by outsourced providers.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of VAT, Tax return & other statutory/statistical reporting.
  • Preparing information packs for external audit and managing the audit process.

What we're looking for:
  • AAT Qualified or studying for an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven accountancy & finance experience.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft financials (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail & highly organized.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
