Job Title: Commonwealth Programme Manager
Salary: £43,000 - £47,000
Location: London

Morgan Hunt is currently working with an international not-for-profit organisation, who are looking to Programme Manager on a permanent basis.

Job Purpose:

Based out of their London Office, the Programme Manager will focus on the development and delivery of the organisation's Commonwealth Programmes. You will be working with the Chemical Societies in the Commonwealth nations to develop a programme of activities, supporting the chemical sciences community and advancing chemistry for the benefit of society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will understand the needs of less developed countries and identifying ways to share best practice and knowledge, including provision of mechanisms for accessing research infrastructure.
  • Create strong relationships and partnerships with organisations that support the chemical sciences in the Commonwealth nations.
  • Support the External Relations manager with the organisation's external relations strategy.
  • Work in partnerships with UK and Commonwealth sister societies and policy communities to develop and implement their programme of activities.
  • Establish new links with key bodies.
  • Develop strong links with key bodies in the Commonwealth.

Personal Specification:
  • Degree in chemistry or a related discipline (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in a team within a scientific organisation, industry, university or in government.
  • Experience collaborating internationally.
  • A passion for advancing science.
  • Ability to develop effective scientific networks.
