Senior Approvals Engineer (Safety / EMC) - Chard

Permanent, Full time position

Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)

We are looking for a Senior Approvals Engineer (Safety/EMC) to join our client's Research and Development department in Chard.

What would you do?

·Be the "go to" person on global standards and legislation for our client's products.

·Manage test programs with external suppliers and testing organisations.

·Work with R&D to ensure all new products meet the necessary standards.

·Ensure compliance testing runs smoothly.

·Provide compliance guidance.

·Technical file management; satisfying FCC, UL, CE, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC, RoHS, Reach etc.

·Manage the certification library of approved products.

What are we looking for?

·You will have a track record of ensuring global product compliance in a FMCG manufacturing business.

·An excellent understanding of product compliance to international standards including EN, IEC, UL/CSA, FCC.

·Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and relevant compliance testing.

·The ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements.

·Strong project management skills.

·Exceptional attention to detail.

·Experience in internal auditing and management (i.e. ISO 9001, 17025) - desirable.
