IT Support Engineer required by market leading, award winning retail sector organisation based in Bristol. Our client need an experienced 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer initially until the end of 2019 with possible extensions or even a permanent position to follow.

The support analyst will provide day to day supervision of the IT Service Desk, carrying out technical support duties as appropriate. This role will ensure all end user issues and new service requests are resolved to ITIL framework and that to support technology initiatives.

Required background:

Hardware Support
  • Install/configure user hardware
  • Assist in capacity planning
  • PC imaging
Service Desk
  • Analyse problems and create workable solutions
  • Responding to tickets in a timely manner
  • Access control processes are followed
  • Isolating repeat tasks and finding fix or process
  • Password resets
  • Maintain Asset Tracker & lifecycle process
  • Ensure IT processes are adhered to and continuous review
  • Manage ServiceDesk assignment
  • Onboarding new starters
Software support
  • Provide support and resolve problems related to core software (Office, Dynamics NAV, Windows OS, Mac OS)
  • Identify application, network and hardware malfunctions and take action
Essential Attributes, Skills & Experience
  • ITIL focussed
  • Windows servers/desktops
  • Office 365
  • Basic network skills (Patching, Port changes)
  • Active Directory/Group Policy Management
  • Strong Troubleshooting skills
Desirable Attributes, Skills & Experience
  • SharePoint
  • Windows 10
This fantastic contract comes with a day rate of £100-110 per day.
