Domiciliary Care Manager: A highly motivated Domiciliary Care Manager is required to provide sustainable, quality self-funded care across Plymouth for Our client, a locally owned CQC 'Outstanding' rated homecare / domiciliary care provider that has been growing swiftly for over 6 years.

As Domiciliary Care Manager you will work closely with the Directors and Operations Manager and help take the business to the next level. You will be responsible for the efficient running of this ambitious home care business and build on the reputation of quality care delivered by well trained, well-supported care workers. The Care Manager will manage the Locality Managers, Care Coordinator, Recruitment Administrator, Field Supervisor, Care Workers, and deal with customers.

The successful candidate may currently be working as Care Service Manager, Deputy Manager or Locality Manager looking for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The legal and ethical running of the day-to-day business
  • Ultimate responsibility for all staff planning, evaluating workloads, and identifying training needs
  • Development and maintenance of the quality control system to ensure its successful operation.
  • Implementation of the complaints procedure
  • Achievement of agreed sales targets
  • Participate in on-call either on a rota basis or ad hoc to ensure adequate cover.
  • Have a strong knowledge of Care Standard legislation and regulations including understanding their implementation within the business
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the office
  • Managing the recruitment of all care staff and coordinating their training to ensure we have sufficient levels of staff in place to meet customer demands
  • Promoting our strong customer service values to all Bluebird Care employees
  • Responsible for the safe and legal delivery of our services

Skills and Experience:
  • Management experience of service provision in the care profession
  • Level 5 or Degree in Health and Social Care and the Registered Manager's Award or equivalent in order to satisfy regulatory requirements
  • Experience of Business Management would be advantageous as the role will require the ability to allocate, maintain and control financial resources and the creation of administrative systems
  • The Care Manager will need a full driving licence
