Are you organised, confident with the ability to work at fast pace and under pressure and have experience in the IT industry? If this sounds like you then JT Recruit have a fantastic opportunity for you, we are looking for an IT Technician to join a prestigious company based in Newark

Role and responsibilities
  • Providing support to our customers via telephone, e-mail, remote desktop or on-site, with an understanding of call handling, prioritisation and escalations.
  • Ensuring constant and consistent communication for any open requests
  • Identify common questions to create help articles and frequently asked questions for end users.
  • Investigating and resolving issues that have been escalated
  • Attend site and provide IT Support direct to customers
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and equipment notes
  • Provide high quality service and support to all our customers
  • Assist with all ad-hoc projects as requested
  • Perform hands-on fixes at both a software and hardware level
  • Have a proactive approach to respond to and improve upon monitoring alerts to help reduce incidents.

Experience and key attributes
  • Extremely strong organisational skills Logical approach to problem solving
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong knowledge and solid experience of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, ranging from Windows Server 2003-2012 R2 and Windows XP to Windows 10.
  • Experience in administering AD, Windows updates and managing Exchange
  • Excellent understanding of DHCP/DNS protocols and experience with associated applications.
  • Experience with network hardware such as Routers/ Firewalls/ Switches/ Wireless Access Points
  • Excellent teamwork
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Good understanding of firewall and VPN operations.
  • Linux experience would be beneficial.
  • Microsoft Azure experience and 365 Advantageous
  • Confident with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

  • Full UK Driving License as some driving may be required
  • You will have been working in the IT support sector for a minimum of 2 years
