Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Electronics Test Technician to join its team in Wimborne.

As the world's leading testing partner to the global Aerospace industry, Element Wimborne is a centre of excellence providing a complete set of product qualification EMC testing and certification services to commercial and military aerospace customers. Testing services include testing to RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461 and DEF STAN 59-411 standards.

Our ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited laboratories with state-of the-art-testing facilities enables us to test a wide range of products from the smallest components to the largest electrical power management systems for the full family of commercial and military aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Perform testing to procedures outlined in procedures and standards
  • Maintain technical logbook accurately at all times
  • Record results of tests on the prescribed result sheets, to plot graphical results
  • Prepare test reports for review by the Senior Engineer or Department Manager
  • Ensure commercial confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Maintain high levels of laboratory housekeeping across all activities
  • Ensuring Health & Safety and Quality system procedures are adhered to in the working area

Skills & Qualifications
  • A good general education including English, Maths and Science
  • Practical / hands-on work experience in electronics / engineering
  • Interest in Electronics
  • HNC / HND / ONC in a relevant technical background such as Electronics
  • Knowledge of relevant quality systems such as UKAS and standard laboratory procedures
  • Ability to apply and develop basic skills to use tools and test equipment
  • Professional individual with the ability to work effectively alone as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
