IT Security Officer. Circa £60k + 25% Bonus + £7.2k Car Allowance + Benefits Package. Middlesex. T6/MN/17663.

Large global leader within their sector is seeking to secure an IT Security Officer. The organisation is rapidly growing and have a acquired a number of leading organisations across Europe.

This is a new position, so it is an exciting opportunity for a Security professional to put their stamp on a role and to then build and lead a Security team.

Technical Skills / Experience Required:
  • Managing Security Risk and Compliance activities
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Input into IT Service improvement
  • Leading Security continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder Management - gravitas and confidence to engage with stakeholders at CIO / CFO / CEO level
  • Third Party Suppliers - build good relationships, and effectively manage IT Security suppliers
  • Monitor third party service delivery and improvement
  • Security Awareness training
  • Project Management - lead Incident, Problem, Change & IMAC projects
  • Supporting deployment of global infrastructure and technology projects - ensuring they are aligned to Security standards and processes
  • Transitioning - supporting sites as they transition into a IT Security & Service model
  • Strong communication skills (both Oral & written)
  • Strong negotiation skills - be an advocate for Security change

  • Customer First approach

  • Knowledge of ISO:27001 Security Standard / HMG Security Policy Framework (SPF),
  • CESG InfoSec Standards, CPNI documents, GSI Code of Connection or HMG/CESG standards
  • Service desk knowledge
  • Team Management - leading Security Teams

  • The role will involve limited travel to Europe - realistically it will be one trip every two months
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact for Security Governance, Risk and Compliance - ensuring best practice and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Run and lead the Security Governance Forum
  • Manage the Security incident reports
  • Take part in audit hosting and audit remediation activities
  • Security Risk and Exception
  • Security Awareness Training
  • Technical Security Authority (CAB/Project review)
  • Maintain Security compliance
  • Maintain the Information Security Management System
  • Align the ISMS to ISO standards
  • Security Operating Procedures
  • Lead the Annual Security review
  • Security representation aligned to the Business Continuity Plan
  • Security Service Improvement Planning
  • Coordinate with third parties and all Security partners
  • Working within a pan-European environment, maintain close relationships with the business, IT and service providers to ensure services needs are met for countries and sites in scope
