Site Engineering Maintenance Manager

Locartion: Wakefield area, West Yorkshire

£50 - 60k Plus Package, 15% Bonus

My client is an internationally recognised market leader within the Food and Drink marketplace. Operating globally, they produce a distinctive range of high profile brands and products. A principal supplier to all the major supermarket chains, wholesalers and independents, they are currently experiencing sustained expansion and business growth.

This factory at the very heart of their Business Unit; their prestigious UK manufacturing facilities have undergone significant change and expansion. In order to remain at the forefront of a highly competitive market, a role has been created for a Sit Engineering and Manager, Responsible to the General Manager, a role which will lead some of the frontline engineering activities on site, accountable for ensuring the efficient production of a variety of FMCG products.

Your Role:

A challenging and stimulating role, you will be responsible for plant engineering activities on a prestigious, state-of-the-art food production site. You will devise and ensure a robust and responsive maintenance strategy.

To deliver the engineering department's KPI's in equipment performance, reliability and breakdown, maintenance completion, safety and budgetary performance.
You will implement and manage both maintenance and capital expenditure budgets for your factory, utilising various operational methodologies such as supplier optimisation, minimal inventories, and asset management techniques. Dimensions of the role include managing a £Multi-Million budget, as well as the management of several direct reports and 30 indirect reports.

Demonstrating several years engineering maintenance management experience within an FMCG environment.

You will have finely developed interpersonal and communication skills and the natural ability to inspire and lead teams. You will also have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and monitor individual and team performance. You will display effective organisational skills and demonstrate a forward thinking, career ambitious and enthusiastic approach.

You will also possess a strong ability in forming positive working relationships across all levels, creating and cascading a vision for the business.
