A Systems Team Leader is required within the IMS to lead the Systems Engineering activities for the development of EWOS (Electronic Warfare Operation Support) tools and services, in addition to having line management responsibilities for the systems engineering team.

Key Responsibility Areas

The role will require leading activities across the full systems engineering lifecycle and candidates should therefore be experienced in all phases as well as associated lifecycle stage reviews. The role will entail leading product design and so working knowledge of EW RF DAS (Electronic Warfare Radio Frequency Defensive Aids Systems) and the EWOS lifecycle and its associated components is required to influence and support design decisions. The team operates in an Agile development environment to develop PC-based software toolsets and experience of both the lifecycle methodology and this type of product development is preferred.

The role will require direct or indirect support to the delivery of training solutions to a range of domestic and international customers (travel within the UK and abroad is to be anticipated), and so the ability to form excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders is very important; excellent interpersonal skills are essential in this role, in addition to a strong aptitude for leadership, problem solving and decision-making. Candidates should have experience of people management and technical leadership, as well as the proven ability to deliver to agreed cost, schedule, and quality performance targets.
You should have as a minimum an undergraduate degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.
