Weaver Vale Housing Trust has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Team Leader to join our Finance Team, based in Gadbrook, Northwich. You will work on afull time, permanent basis and you will receive a highly competitive salary of £33,013 - £37,643 per annum.

The Finance Team Leader role:

This is a wide ranging role, with a remit which includes day to day management and maintenance of the Trusts income and expenditure, ensuring purchase and sales ledgers are effectively controlled, extensive key role involvement in projects and one off pieces of work, systems development, implementation and administration and involvement in the preparation of Statutory Accounts, Management Accounts, Budgets and taxation.

Key responsibilities of our Finance Team Leader:

- Day to day management and maintenance of the Trust's income and expenditure systems, ensuring that purchase ledger and sales ledger are effectively controlled.

- Manage Documotive ensuring all purchase invoices are verified.

- Manage eFinance including ePayables and eProcurement (POP).

- Manage unapproved invoices.

- Manage production of Sundry Payments and Payment runs.

- Manage day to day Petty Cash requests and reimbursements.

- Responsible for the write-off of Sundry Debts, once appropriately approved.

- Responsible for ensuring authorisation limits in Open Accounts (OA) and eFinance are up to date and in line with the approved Authorities Schedule.

- Manage the production of sundry sales invoices.

- Contribute towards the development of financial plans for related aspects of financial services, including the preparation of Statutory Accounts, Management Accounts, Budgets and Taxation.

- Provide a Systems Administrator role for various financial and other systems, including Documotive P2P; eFinance (POP).

- Specialist advisor role to the Trust re: VAT.

- Have an excellent understanding of the Finance teams GDPR requirements. Specifically, maintain the Finance Teams section of the information asset register and ensure that the team retains its data as per the Trusts data retention schedule and statutory obligations.

- Maintain the Finance Teams area of the Trusts Asset and Liability register.

- To deliver all work in line with the Trusts GDPR, H&S, Financial and People policies and procedures.

What we're looking for in our Finance Team Leader:

- Professionally qualified accountant or have at least 5 years experience in a senior role

- Sound working knowledge of accounting procedures

- Experienced in the use of Financial Systems including Microsoft packages

- Strong team player and be able to lead a small team

- Positive and proactive attitude who works well under pressure

- Desire to learn and develop your skills and experience
