Choralis Consulting have instructions to recruit a Head of Delivery/Projects Director

The company:- With nearly 20 years in the Telecoms Services space, our client is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. Over the last 5 years they have expanded all over the UK and further Europe. The company provide Operational, Technical and maintenance support, network implementation, design and Optimisation services to some of the biggest names in the Telecoms arena. incl:- BT, O2,EE, Nokia and Ericsson. With a network of support offices in the Midlands, North West and headquartered in Cambridge, the business is now ready to roll out further expansion plans and continues to enjoy a market leading position.

The Role:- Will be to oversee the successful delivery of projects and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, schedules, and budgets; It coordinates interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays; meets with program team members on a regular basis to review program status and plan future actions. Reports directly to the Operations Director.

Recording, management and analysis of issues.
Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary
Maintain technical and project documentation
Build, manage and motivate the Project teams.
Performs team assessments and evaluations.
Ensure the delivery of new and existing projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the plan.
Be responsible for the quality assurance and overall integrity of the projects.
Well versed in programme governance, performance monitoring and delivering high quality management reports
* Ensure the effective control of a diverse portfolio of projects
* Overarching operational awareness, improvement strategies and proven problem solving abilities.
* Influence a wide management matrix whilst controlling benefit delivery in-line with strategic business objectives.
* Manage third party contributions to the projects as appropriate.
* Manage the risks to the projects successful outcome.
* Report progress of the various projects at regular intervals to the Line Manager.

The person:- A suitably qualified, senior executive with excellent planning, organising and delivery abilities, with significant experience,(minimum of 10 years) in the telecoms sector. With full operational and financial responsibility for managing and seeing through large corporate projects from initial bid stages through post completion procedures.
Planning, Procurement, Supply chain, Budget, Risk Management and contract preparation will all be part of this role. A strong man manager, with excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to find ways of solving and pre-empting problems and implement corrective measures. Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible and focused on delivery.
