You'll work with the children and young people who have severe learning disabilities, autism and other complex behaviours at our residential special school and children's home in Wingrave, near Aylesbury. This role is to support the development of positive behaviour support as a key part of the culture across the home.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes PBS Leads, Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist, you will role-model a strong PBS approach with staff who are less experienced. You'll coach staff to increase their confidence, and help to ensure positive behaviour support plans and the strategies agreed reflect each child's needs and that staff teams are clear about following them.

The role will be working within the children's home and therefore you will also directly support the children and young people in all aspects of their lives, including intimate care needs, accessing the community and developing their interests and hobbies As the children's home offers support and care across 52 weeks of the year this role will include regular shift work which includes days, evenings and weekends.
