My client works at the forefront of enterprise imaging in healthcare. For nearly 30 years they have supported care providers and health professionals across departments, sites and networks to deliver quality care and make intelligent decisions for their communities and people.

Due to continued growth we are currently looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), into NHS Trusts across the UK. The project manager will deliver projects in a timely and cost-effective manner, by project budgeting, planning, monitoring, steering and performing issue, change and risk management.

As a project manager:
  • You will be the first point of contact for the customer
  • You will manage customer expectations with regards to customer side obligations and scope
  • Set-up project schedule (e.g. activities, resources) and implementation strategy
  • You will monitor, steer and control projects (time, budget, quality)
  • You will initialise project invoicing and revenue recognition
  • You will manage project risks, quality and change control
  • You will perform project escalation management (e.g. steering committee and project meetings)
  • You will assure project documentation within a Prince2 environment
  • You will manage third party suppliers as required

Skills and Experience

Who are we looking for?
  • Someone with experience in delivering large scale clinical information projects within the UK NHS that has a significant change impact
  • Someone with a good understanding of enterprise software delivery
  • Ideally someone with experience in implementing PACS or RIS (Radiology Information Systems)

To be a successful project manager:
  • You will be Prince2 (Foundation level minimum - preferably Practitioner) qualified
  • Competent with MS Project
  • You have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • You are able to work under pressure with tight timescales.
  • You have strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • You will understand the subtleties of working for a software supplier

This is a great role for a vendor side Project Manager who enjoys delivering client facing projects but doesn't want to spend their entire life on the road. You will be home based with 1 or 2 days of client-side travel per week.
