Job Description

As a Process Developer - ( Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer), you will have the chance to join our highly skilled, self-motivated and dynamic Machine Tool Maintenance (MTM) team based at the Turbine Blade Facility in Derby.

The TBF's MTM are responsible for undertaking Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive break/fix repair on a wide range production machinery. As such you will need to be confident in your ability to provide PLC support, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic maintenance support on a wide range of advanced Machine tools and automated/ robotic manufacturing cells.

Key Accountabilities
  • Performing detailed preventive planned maintenance in accordance with asset care schedules.
  • Identifying the root cause of asset faults, improving asset performance and reliability to meet operational objectives.
  • Consistently interfacing with Operations and the Manufacturing Services Leader (MSL) to deliver a professional engineering service.
  • Providing a fast and efficient response time to any plant breakdowns that occur, whilst ensuring all company procedures and standards are adhered to.
  • Work closely with OEM's and service providers to support service contracts on plant and machinery.
  • At all times you will work closely to the company HS&E control standards.

  • A minimum of a time-served engineering apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical engineering discipline, NVQ level 3/4 or equivalent.
  • A maintenance professional with a strong experience of providing electrical, mechanical and PLC maintenance on advanced manufacturing machine tools.
  • Experience of working on electro-mechanical equipment, including knowledge of fault finding, diagnostics and interrogation of PLC's, multi-axes CNC machine tools, robotic systems, and control systems.
  • A proactive thinker, with a 'can do' attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Willingness to undertake projects/continuous improvement works in-line with business requirements.
  • Knowledge of PUWER regulations would be desirable.
