Duties will include: * To provide written, telephone and office costs estimates to Prospective clients/Introducers with a full breakdown of costs and disbursements as requested * To develop and maintain good client contact relationships and enhance the firm's client base by effective liaison with existing clients * To use the correct procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm's standards and legal requirements * Providing quotes to new clients * Opening client files on our accounting system and dealing with any monies coming in from the clients * Dealing with matters and legally preparing the files * To assist Fee Earners and or Partners with the gathering of information with regard to working on conveyancing matters such as sales, purchases and re-mortgages * Assisting the Office Managing Partner by gathering information for cases and attending clients * Completing specific legal forms and documents that must be filed with the Court * Deal with research, document drafting and client interviews as per the Office Managing Partners instructions * Dealing with registration of client documents * Dealing with requisitions raised by HM Land Registry and extending priority periods whenever necessary * Submitting HMRC Stamp duty online and carrying out the necessary payments * Sending completed Title deeds to the clients and the lenders * Dealing with consent order forms as directed by the Office Managing Partner * Preparation of correspondence and documents through typing and word processing * To administer daily filing which includes the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual * Preparation of mail for despatch * Dealing with ledger balances by checking the system and then if the balances are zero sending the files to the stored by following this firms protocol Requirements and prospects Desired skills * Excellent communication Skills * Good IT skills - Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook * Good time management skills * Accuracy and attention to detail Personal qualities * Punctual * Self-motivated * Cope effectively in demanding circumstances * Flexible approach to work Desired qualifications GCSE English & maths grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent. Future prospects Progression into the role of a full time Paralegal.
