The IQA Manager is responsible for delivery of consistent assessment decisions as evidenced by Awarding Bodies reports and will report to the Lead IQA for Construction
Skills People Group are a national provider of NVQ, Apprenticeships, Programmes for the unemployed and Compliance training. We specialise in both commercial and funded training and are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK's largest private training providers. We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, qualified Internal Quality Assurer Manager (IQA) to join our existing IQA team as part of the training team
The successful candidate will undertake the following main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support of Tutor / Assessors in the NVQ team, including induction training and monitoring against performance and quality standards
To support Operations and address delivery concerns and development identified within your delivery team
Support and maintain the company quality assurance strategy
Ensure the accurate and timely verification of assessment decisions of assessors within their team
Maintain accurate and reliable internal verification and quality monitoring records
Work closely with Lead IQA and Standards Verifier to ensure external visits are positive and feedback is communicated effectively to assessors
Support the planning and delivery of assessor standardisation meetings
Undertake observations of assessors in line with the Company Observation schedule
Support the IQA team in reviewing, designing and implementing delivery models to meet the needs of the sector
Ensure all quality processes are in line with current Ofsted and Awarding Bodies requirements
The ideal candidate must possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities:
Accurate Report writing and record keeping skills
Time Management skills
Organisation skills
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A strong knowledge of Construction & Civil Engineering
A proven track record of assessing NVQ's, within Construction & Civil Engineering
Implementation of stringent quality assurance practices and procedures
Strong attention to detail
Able to follow processes
Enthusiasm in the work place
Work well under pressure
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33, TAQA)
Verifier qualification (V1 or equivalent)
Literacy & Numeracy qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed)

You will be based from home and asked to work nationally when required

This position is subject to an enhanced criminal records check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) and will be subject to satisfactory clearance of this check.
If this position is classed as Regulated Activity, it is subject to an Adult & Child barring check.
