12 month Contract

£38 - £40 Per Hour

My Client is looking for a Contract Site Manager for a modularised Industrial Process Plant manufacturing development. The contracted Site Manager will look after key site installation activities and the testing and commissioning phases. The Construction Manager/ Project Manager will be working alongside the Engineering manager, Operations Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Project Planner to meet all expected deadlines for the project.

Job Purpose
  • Deliver to the Project Manager the construction phase Including testing and commissioning and associated documentation to meet safety, quality, programme and cost objectives.

Responsibilities
  • ensure company management systems and processes and CDM requirements are adhered to which includes fulfilment of the Principal Contractor role and the responsibility of controlling the site
  • all works are installed and executed in accordance with the contract documents
  • onsite interfaces and coordination of tasks is achieved to alleviate both health and safety risks as well as unnecessary financial costs and delays to the project
  • the required quality standards have been met

Skills:
  • Must be able to articulate technical complexities and have very good communication skills.
  • Able to chair meetings and direct the work to meet the programme.
  • Needs an excellent understanding of HSAWA, CDM, risk assessments, safety systems and SSoW.
  • People and process management skills.
  • Team Player
  • IT Skills: Microsoft packages including Microsoft Project

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years in the Management of Construction including a significant recent period on site that ideally covers;

Control and Surveillance of Civil Engineering Contract Direct management and supervision of Mechanical and Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Installation Testing and Commissioning of Process Plant Specific areas; Modular Construction including transportation and lifting operations, meeting strict Cleanliness requirements, Demonstrating Compliance on types and sources of materials used in construction

Qualifications:
  • Higher National Diploma in relevant Construction or Engineering Discipline or equivalent. CSCS Supervisor
  • Relevant HSE qualifications
