A college near Farnham are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with SEN students in a mainstream setting. You will be helping students access their chosen subjects and getting stuck in yourself! This will be many of the students' last stage of education so they will need support in learning the life skills and gaining the independence they will need for the world of work.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation

-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student

-Physically supporting learners; pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers

-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum

-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:

-The ability to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities

-An understanding of health and safety implications

-Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team

-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties

-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-The ability and willingness to travel between sites and elsewhere on a regular basis
