Randstad have an exciting opportunity with a manufacturing company as a payroll and finance assistant.

The main purpose of the role is to assist in the maintenance of financial ledgers, gather, collate & prepare the weekly payroll using the Time & Attendance System. Prepare invoices and carry out other activities as required by management by preparing, collecting and recording financial information in order to provide accurate financial information to management and assist in the smooth running of the accounting function.

Qualifications and experience

* 2 years experience in a similar role
* Experience using MS Office packages and an accounting system such as Sage, Opera or Peagasus
* Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
* Positive attitude
* Excellent organisational skills
* Good communication skills


* Preparation of the weekly payroll by using the Time & Attendance system, calculating the hours, rates and accurate payment of wages via the Payroll Software.
* Recording of Personnel information from Time & Attendance, reporting any anomalies to Personnel Manager.
* Preparation of all possible sales invoices, on a daily basis, to assist in meeting monthly invoiced sales targets.
* Maintaining the purchase ledger invoices, collecting/recording and checking all documents therein for accurate purchase ledger input and control whilst utilizing the invoice register.
* Update computer data following monthly stock audits.
* Assist other departments as and when required in administration duties.
* Assist in Credit Control.
* Working to company processes and procedures that are in keeping with the company quality system, and for making suggestions to improve processes that contribute to overall company performance.
