Location: London

This is a unique opportunity, working with an ambitious telecommunications provider.
The strategic objectives of this business are to deliver better service, broader coverage and faster speeds to consumers.

The Senior Bid Manager will lead the team responsible for forecasting customer and related demand for Infrastructure Products. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Trading Numbers have integrity and are reported accurately including input to Investor Relations for OFCOM as part of s135 submissions and internal exec-level presentations.

For this role, we specifically require a telecoms bid professional, a commercial thinker who has experience in wholesale products.

What we need for this role:

Expert in business forecasting and analysis, ensuring forecasting accuracy.
Previous experience of setting the strategic approach to forecasting in your area, defining the key dynamics and metrics to be forecast and the modelling approach to be taken.
Demonstratable experience of using intelligence gathered from customers and also provided to customers (these roles interact directly with customers, helping them to understand their performance to enable them to improve their service to customers and the competition).
Good understanding of the market and commercial framework and context which you will be forecasting.
Previous experience of business reporting. The role holder is accountable for what is reported to the business and the city. This role provides the authoritative recommendation on the volume related KPIs that are included in the Quarterly Accounts (such as Physical Lines, Broadband Lines, Fibre Base and Ethernet).Accountabilities:

Take input from Product and Commercial teams to understand the impact of new products within the market context to ensure that teams can anticipate changes in demand and assess risks to revenue and operations.
Provide forecasts and input into operational and capacity planning teams, to enable resourcing decisions to be made to deliver demand.
Make decision recommendations to the Director, Customer Forecasting & Analysis for the overall quarterly forecasts (including Medium Term Plan forecasts over 5 years) and for decisions of a sensitive or material nature. For example, there is a wide range of sources of insight on how many fibre orders the business will receive in the coming months/year.
