Due to winning one of the largest aerospace engineering projects in recent UK history, set to last the next 12-15 years, the organisation is looking for four Manufacturing Engineers / NC Programmers that have a strong precision engineering background.

Working out of brand-new facilities, the Manufacturing Engineers / NC Programmers will be responsible for:

* Develop, document and validate the detailed manufacturing sequences and operation levels

* Develop the manufacturing supporting toolkit, processes and documentation for component methods of manufacture, such as tool drawings, setting instructions, process monitoring tools and process instructions

* Create, validate and establish the manufacturing controls for the detailed operations within the machining processes

* Develop and drive Right First Time by the application of real-time data driven process capability

* Identify and eliminate sources of non-conformance by yield analysis, PFMEA, Process surveillance, Operator training and hazard reviews

* Develop, validate and train in the relevant technical instructions in line with the process intent specification requirements and Quality procedures

* Support the creation of First article inspection processes and documentation and creation of PPAPs.

* Apply Lean Six Sigma principals and methods to achieve world-class manufacturing capability

To fulfill these requirements, the Manufacturing Engineers / NC Programmers must have the following experience:

* Degree, HND, HNC, Apprentice trained or equivalent experience

* High-level of experience in precision component manufacturing (ideally aerospace)

* NC programming (5 axis Milling & turning)

* CAM tools and systems, machining processes, fixture & tool design

* Demonstrable background in deploying PFMEAs to mitigate risk and drive improvement

* Component and process proving (FAIR & PPAP)

* Right First Time and data driven process capability development

* Demonstrable background in deploying lean techniques successfully

* Proficient in the use of the relevant IT tools
