Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting a key Manufacturing client based in Sheffield as they seek to appoint an IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
*To manage and develop the existing management information hardware and software systems, in order to provide a reliable and efficient service to computer users
*To manage the network and personal computer systems as required
*To manage and develop the ERP system in Sheffield and overseas as required
*To specify and maintain operating practices in order to ensure security of information, e.g. back up procedures, password procedures, housekeeping, software maintenance log, key contact names, disaster recovery planning, anti-virus etc in compliance with Group Standards
*To maintain the computer room environment to an acceptable standard
*To identify and introduce (including training) new technology in order to achieve improved working practices and procedures
*Manage hardware and software issues by liaising with third party or Group support as appropriate
*Install, move, add and change basic phone systems
*Provide Microsoft Windows Server support as required
*To identify and eliminate inefficient working practices
*To support and advise user departments with expert advice
*Provide regular updates on project implementation and issue status
*To have an awareness of relevant developments within the hardware, software, and information technology fields in order to facilitate the ongoing improvement of the company's systems and operating practices
*To ensure that the company's computer hardware and software is properly maintained

Skills & Abilities:
*Must have ERP experience
*Active Directory
*SQL
*Microsoft Windows PC & Server Operating System
*Windows 7, 10, Microsoft Office, and Windows Server Administration
*Understanding of IP addressing basics (including DNS and DHCP)
*Ability to prioritise multiple priorities/projects concurrently to ensure goals are achieved
*Ability to determine and utilise appropriate communication channels
*Ability to apply logic and reasoning to solve problems, including: identifying strengths/weaknesses; locating alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems; and making high-quality, timely decisions
