Role: Senior Python Developer (Programmer Software Engineer Python Microservices Trading Quantitative Analysis FX Fixed Income Equities Commodities Derivatives AWS RStudio R Python Front Office Amazon Web Services) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a team of three developers that are growing to a team of five. The team are close to releasing a search engine that will allow for the analytics for pre-existing models that have been generated by the front office quantitative analysts. Although there may be some operational work around this product, the team will then move onto the creation of a distributed calculation framework, which is expected to take about 6 months.

The products are largely Java microservices with some JavaScript UI's. You will join the team as a Python authority, working closely with the front office quant analysts. There are no business analysts in this space, so you will be gathering the requirements directly. One of your tasks will be to create a core library for the quants to use centrally.

The environment is hosted in AWS. The hiring manager will consider people without AWS, meaning this could be a good opportunity to enter the role and become familiar with Amazon Web Services and the tools it includes.
