Contact Recruitment are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Charity Project Manager for our client based in Derby.

The purpose of this role will be to manage and deliver of all the project work included in the Charity annual business plan.

In this role you will be Home based with attendance at our clients Head office at least twice a month. Some travel across the UK will be expected.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position previously as well as being educated to Degree level or equivalent, ideally with a Project and/or Event Management Qualification. You would ideally have a proven track record of managing others, setting targets and monitoring progress, recent experience of planning and delivering successful events, experience of delivering skills competitions and experience of working for a charitable organisation

In this role you will find the following roles and responsibilities;

Managing the Charity
  • In collaboration with the CEO support the development of an annual business plan and budget that supports the Charity's vision and strategic goals.
  • Produce detailed project plans to deliver all key projects and activities.
  • Generate progress reports for each Trustee meeting.
  • Manage internal/external resources, including human resources as required.

Research
  • Produce a business case/project plan for developing new digital learning materials (for example, YouTube videos, new App) that will benefit the Plumbing and Heating industry.
  • Keep abreast of changes within the education and skills agenda (governmental and industry)
Project/Event Management - SkillPLUMB and PHSP
  • To select, appoint and manage the technical lead for the SkillPLUMB initiative.
  • Maintain and develop an appropriate base of sponsors/supporters.
  • Organise and hold an annual SkillPLUMB stakeholders meeting.
  • Liaise with WorldSkills UK and attend the Technical Working Group Meetings.
  • In conjunction with the technical lead manage the competition from the heats through to the finals across the UK.
  • Provide reports and progress updates at the two annual UK Strategic PHSP board meetings.
  • Maintain and update the PHSP website and respond to any enquiries.
  • Plan and organise stakeholder events and/or e-newsletters updates.
