Planning and Purchasing Manager

A great and exciting opportunity has just come available for a Planning and Purchasing Manager with experience in raw stock purchases and replenishment of all site consumer items, Timber Purchasing and Stock Control. You will be required to work closely with the site Manager and suppliers.
My client is well established and the business has shown year on year growth. My client is looking for a focused, motivated and high achiever to further improve and maintain the high standards that are embedded throughout their values and service delivery. The right candidate will have excellent planning skills and have a proven track record in leading a team within the purchasing sector.

·Salary - Ranging from £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
·Hours - 40 hours per week.
·Area - Site is situated near to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
·Permanent position.

Responsibilities - Planning and Purchasing Manager

·Motivational and inspirational leadership for employees and teams to perform at their best in building and sustaining a high-performance culture. Act as a role model and ambassador for company values and leadership behaviours.
·Effective Employee Engagement and Development so that all employees understand the Vision and Strategy and their role in it and are actively encouraged, developed and motivated to deliver Outstanding Service to our Clients and have fulfilling careers within the company.
·Overseeing the booking in of loads from suppliers and transform orders.
·Creating monthly demand schedule for replenishment from UK mills and Baltic volumes.
·Reporting, recording and reacting to quality problems from suppliers.
·Working with site teams to maintain stock accuracy, quality, optimum quantity and turnover.
·Assisting with stock counting procedures when required.
·Attend monthly site Management team meetings.
·Working with and training any allocated admin resource on-site to help deliver all pre-mentioned roles.

·Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
·Commercial awareness
·Strong analytical ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships
·Numeracy skills in order to analyse facts and figures
·The ability to lead and motivate a team
·A flair for negotiation and networking
·Tact and diplomacy
·The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
·Strong project management skills
·Time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines
·Resilience.
·Commutable distance from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
