A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ an Associate based in London.
Hours 35 per week/permanent.

The Quantitative Analyst - Associate level will be responsible to develop new products with their appropriate model, model calibration tools and risks; and develop and maintain complex products such as Vol Caps, Quantitative Investment Strategies, Collateralized Loans, new one-off trades. The role holder would define model reserves methodologies in collaboration with Product Control and Trading; monitor these reserves and contribute to their industrialization. They would also contribute to streamlining the scripting framework (Templates, golden scripts, reduced operational risk) and assist in the release of the Quant libraries and tools.
The Quantitative Analyst - Associate level will be responsible to develop the infrastructure and capabilities needed to enable operational effectiveness and the delivery of the desired results; and ensures that decision making is delegated to the most appropriate people. They will be required to establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the team together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
The Quantitative Analyst - Associate level will be accountable for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations and ensure that risk policies and governance frameworks are appropriately implemented in their part of the business. The role holder will be required to understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business they are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following attributes:
- A degree based on Mathematical Finance from a top tier university.
- Substantial experience in model development in derivatives .
- Substantial expereince in Advanced C++.
- Scripting and Python experience.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Strong technical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with very strong analytical skills.
- Motivated and a quick learner.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure that information is captured in a timely manner.
